Don Polland for The Franklin Mint — Bronze Cheetah, African Wildlife Series, 1976

A finely cast limited edition solid bronze sculpture of a stalking cheetah, from Don Polland's African Wildlife Series produced exclusively for The Franklin Mint in 1976. This series comprised six subjects — cheetah, lion, giraffe, greater kudu, black rhinoceros, and African elephant — and represents one of the most cohesive and collectible wildlife bronze editions of the twentieth century.

Polland (Donald Jack Polland, 1932–2003), celebrated for his mastery of miniature bronze sculpture, brings characteristic precision and vitality to the cheetah on a rocky terrain base.
