Igor Talwinski was born in Warsaw (in 1907), Poland, a naturally talented artist

In 1945 he emigrated to Paris, penniless and not speaking the language. So he worked as a handyman, and in his spare time he studied Painting.

He studied well and in 1951 Exhibited for the first time in the “Paris Salon” where he achieved considerable success. Thereafter he held a series of one man shows in London, and New York, while exhibiting at the “Paris Salon” where he became a member.

In 1976, the Council of Paris bestowed on him the Silver Medal of the City of Paris and in 1979 he was awarded the diploma of Vermeil of Arts-Sciences-Lettres

Most of his works focused on beautiful young women and command high prices in auction (£000’s) – his floral works are fewer in number but of equal detail and quality. Igor died in 1983
